Christine Devine is a veteran television news anchor in Los Angeles. She anchors the weeknight newscasts at 5 and 10 p.m. at KTTV Fox 11 News.
Christine has 16 Emmys including the Academy’s prestigious Governors Award. In 2018 she received the Golden Mic Icon Award for Lifetime Achievement. In 2012, Los Angeles Magazine named her one of the “50 Women Changing LA.”
While Christine has covered elections, the LA riots, earthquakes, and national news, she is most recognized as KTTV’s host of Wednesday’s Child. The adoption segment has aired on FOX 11 since 1995, with more than 500 children from LA County’s DCFS foster care system finding forever families.
In Hollywood, Christine has played a reporter on TV and in film in the following: American Horror Story, 24 Legacy, “24’, Melrose Place, 90210, Prison Break, Wag the Dog, Independence Day, The Cable Guy.
Christine is a proud Sun Devil graduate from Arizona State University. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism. Christine sits on the prestigious Board of Trustees. She attended ASU on academic Leadership Scholarship and was Valedictorian of her high school.
Christine’s reporting has earned two Gracie Awards from the American Women in Radio and Television. Fox 11 News was honored by the Associated Press with a Best Anchor Team award.
Wednesday’s Child has been honored in Washington by the Child Welfare League of America, and byThe Society of Professional Journalists. Christine received the Angel in Adoption award from Congress and its Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
Active in the community, she has been honored by the LA City Council, the LA County Board of Supervisors, the Los Angeles Police Department and the LA County Sheriff’s Department, the Century City Chamber of Commerce, Volunteers of America, and the YWCA.
Christine was a co-founder of the former Good News Foundation(GNF) created by several women reporters and anchors of Los Angeles news. GNF built a computer lab for children on Skid Row, a park in South LA, and a library at a women's homeless shelter downtown. GNF was honored with the Inspiration award by American Women in Radio and Television(AWRT) and honored as “Treasures of LA” by the Central City Association.
Off the job, Christine works to empower young people encouraging volunteer work and opportunities through the arts and entertainment, music and fashion.
Christine is married to musician/actor Sean McNabb.
