Mariko Lochridge is a former breaking news broadcast journalist covering international news for Reuters, AJ+ and Japanese national broadcaster Nippon Television. Mariko has covered news stories on the ground in over ten countries and four continents. As a career freelancer she has transitioned from broadcast news into multimedia storytelling and community engagement producing projects for The Greatist, KPCC, KPBS, Fatherly, the Rafu Shimpo and more. She currently serves as a volunteer board member for the LA Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association and does advocacy and educational programming for Asian American small businesses on behalf of the Little Tokyo Service Center’s Small Business Assistance Program.
