Manager, Publicity for Originals, Hulu
Lauren Burnett is an integral member of the Hulu Marketing team and currently serves as Manager, Publicity for Originals. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing strategic publicity consumer and awards campaigns, initiatives and events for series including “Catch-22,” “Shrill,” “Dollface,” “Looking for Alaska,” “Veronica Mars” and “High Fidelity.” Burnett works closely with internal Hulu teams including Social Media, Creative and Content to identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.
Prior to her time at Hulu, Burnett worked in the publicity department at FOX Broadcasting Network on both scripted and unscripted series including Lee Daniels’ “Star,” “The Four: Battle For Stardom,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “Bob’s Burgers.”
In 2008, Burnett began her career in entertainment as a member of the Emma Bowen Foundation, which recruits students of color and places them in multi-year paid internships at some of the nation’s leading media, PR and technology companies. She was placed with the Walt Disney Company where she interned in several different departments while studying at USC, eventually joining the Disney ABC Television Group Communications Team. Throughout her time at ABC, she lead publicity campaigns for notable series including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Burnett was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
